Nunney Castle

Nunney Castle was built in the 1370’s and extensively modernised in the late 16th Century. The castle was held for the king in the civil war but was overcome by parliamentarians. Suprisingly the gun damaged portion did not collapse until 1910.


Stanton Drew Stone Circle

Stanton Drew is the third largest stone circle but is little known but dates back to the Bronze Age.
